PDFToddler Program- Ages 18 Months – 3 Years
This covers children ages 18 months to 36 months who attend part time. Children have the option of attending 2, 3, or 4 mornings per week. The program is offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 – 11:30am and follows the developmentally appropriate Montessori curriculum. The program runs September thru May and follows a typical school calendar. The children will be introduced to age appropriate Montessori materials to begin learning shapes, colors, counting and sorting. Children love to play with water, stack and sort. This is the beginning of the ordering process for later learning. Snack, art, music and large motor movement along with Spanish and Sign Language will be included. The morning snack is brought in by the parents in class on a rotating basis. The school provides the milk for snack.
Montessori Children’s House – Ages 2 ˝ - 6 Years
This covers the preschool and kindergarten years. The program is offered Monday thru Friday, 2 ˝ - 4 year-olds attend a ˝ -day program from 8:30 – 11:30am or 12:30 – 3:00pm and 5 -6 year-olds attend a full-day from 8:30 – 2:30pm. The program runs September thru May and follows a typical school calendar. Regular attendance five days per week at this level is important for students to get the full educational benefits. Music, art and physical education are a part of their curriculum. A morning snack is brought by the parents in each class on a rotating basis. The school provides milk for snack. Children in the extended day class or those morning only students also enrolled in child care bring a bag lunch from home. Children remain with the same teachers for three years which provides for stability and consistency for the child.
Children are admitted on a year-round basis as openings occur.
Extended Day- Ages 5 & 6 Years
This covers the children’s kindergarten year. The children are in the mixed age classes in the morning from 8:30 – 11:30am. The children have lunch then from 12:30 – 2:30pm the children are in a classroom composed of only 5 & 6 year-olds. This gives the children additional time to work with the higher level materials, work on projects and become used to going to school for a full day.
Child Care- Ages 2 ˝ - 6 Years
Before and after school child care is offered for children enrolled in the Montessori Children’s House program. The school is open from 7:30am – 5:30pm. Children ages 2 ˝ - 4 years old take a nap or have quiet time following lunch and then return to the classroom. This program runs parallel with the academic school year (September thru May). Families may choose from several fee options based on their own child care needs. A nutritious afternoon snack is provided.
Summer Camp – Ages 2 ˝ - 8 Years
We offer a summer program from 9:00 – 2:00pm for 9 weeks in the summer beginning in June. This program is open to all children in the community and registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis. The summer program has theme weeks with a mix of art, nature, science, some Montessori classroom instruction and lots of outdoor activities. Registration is done by the week.
